Udall has called for Shinseki's resignation.

Probably a good move for any Democrat campaigning or running for reelection this year to do.

Speaking of fundraising, apparently Gardner raised $1.5 million from April 1-June 1. $3 million+ COH.

Dem ratfycking might have backfired: Beauprez is now even w/Tancredo. Hopefully Beauprez or ABT is nominated. Last thing Gardner needs is dealing with Tancredo's insanity.

Gardner takes a leaf from Jindal's playbook: supports over-the-counter contraceptive sales.

And it directly contradicts with his previous position. He just happened to "listen to voters" when he was looking for a promotion.

Gardner has to be pretty happy with Beauprez ousting Gardner tonight. Pretty strong ticket for the GOP - Hickenlooper will likely win but Gardner is going to give Udall a run for his money.

Yeah, it would've been almost impossible to firewall in Denver burbs, especially since Gardner's still tactically repositioning on social issues & Coffman on immigration.

Maybe, but given the track record of Republicans over the last few years maybe he feels he needs to give Gardner a chance to anger either the Tea Party base or independent voters by forcing him to talk about issues.

What do you define as good?

Better than Tom Tancredo? Yes. But that's a pretty low bar.

Is this the choice between Tancredo and Beauprez, like the choice between Brannon and Tillis? Tongue

Mediocre at best. Ritter crushed him 57/40 in '06, also has an interesting (including Birtherism) oppo file as a radio host. But Beauprez's goal should be to keep it reasonably close to help Gardner.

Eh, I'm not sure that's a good analogy.

Other than Cory Gardner, the Colorado GOP seems to have a poor bench.
