Kind of a weak attack? Environmentalists are a pretty decent faction in Colorado, and most people who are ardently pro-fracking are likely already Gardner voters.

Andrew Romanoff raised $600K in Q1, with a massive $2.1 million Cash on Hand. No word on Coffman's totals.

Keep in mind he's still holding true to his pledge of not taking donation from PACs or "special interests"

Keep in mind, Gardner's haul came from just March, whereas Udall's was from all of Q1.

Coffman raised $593K, with $1.85 million CoH. As I expected, less than Romanoff.

Gardner won the nomination at the convention. Will be unopposed in the primary since Baumgardner failed to qualify.

No one ATM. PPP last month had Tancredo 24, Beauprez 20, Gessler 18.

Kopp is by far the most electable, IIRC.

Tancredo is a loon, Beauprez is a birther, and Gessler's claim to fame is making it harder for people to vote.

Beauprez did represent CO-07 for two terms before his first run for Governor so he is probably more electable, provided he runs a better campaign then he did in 2006.

Of the non-Tancredo options, a Birther wouldn't be my first choice.

Which is nice to say as long as there is another non-Tancredo candidate to choose from who is in the running nad for right now, Gessler seems to be the third man out and I have not heard anything about the other candidate.

The GOP CO Gov candidates may be a saving grace for Udall I think Hickenlooper can win in a landslide against any of them.

I'm confident about this race. Seriously, republicans could be extremely competitive if they ran "social" moderate, fiscal conservative candidates. That doesn't seem the case for Gardner.

So... if the Republicans had put up Congressman Mike Coffman, you think that the GOP would have a better chance?

Coffman only started selling himself as a social moderate when he ended up with a D+ seat. Before that, he was conservative all around. As such, his voting record (and various statements he's made pre-2012) would make him pretty easy to attack.

State Sen. Scott Renfroe came in first place at the CO-04 GOP Convention, beating Ken Buck (54-46). Renfroe, Buck, and Weld Co. Comm. Barbara Kirkmeyer (Who released her delegates prior to the convention, as her place on the ballot was already certain) will all appear on the primary ballot.
