Gardner gets the Farm Bureau award, which he's gotten throughout his career.

Lynn Bartels' typically excellent Gardner and Udall profiles.

The Senate candidates will debate 3 times this week.

Debate was very similar to yesterday's, a draw with both candidates occasionally dodging or filibustering uncomfortable questions. There was also the moment when the moderator told Udall that "your campaign has been so focused on women's issues that some have dubbed you Mark Uterus."

The Hill writeup. Next debate's Thursday.

And it's made the race Lean Sane Candidate. Keep up the good work, Mark!

I'm sure the Mark Uterus moment is the only one people will hear about, along with his claim that he's the last person President Obama wants to see.

Good to see you acknowledge this race leans Democratic.

It us a toss-up.  But Gardner is in a better position than Udall.

How about that: Gardner has $1.4M more COH than Udall, having narrowly outraised ($4.3-4M) him.

^ Definitely not.

The Post endorsee has won 9 of 11 Senate and presidential races since 1996. Exceptions were Gore '00 and Strickland '02. Other endorsees this year: Hick and the Dem AG candidate.

The article also states Democrats cancelled airtime in NC, where everyone agrees Hagan is winning. It wouldn't make any sense for Democrats to "give up" on a race that is essential to holding the Senate.

Maybe they feel confident in North Carolina.

A Dem has been triaged, but his name is Andrew Romanoff, not Mark Udall.

That sucks, but even if Romanoff loses he can try again in 2016. In fact, I hope the DCCC is convincing a lot of their star recruits in 2014 to consider giving it another go in 2016, since that will likely be our last chance to take the House before the next census.

Tumulty on the Senate race.

SUSA has Beauprez up 46/44 and Gardner 46/42.
