Abbot. I'll likely be voting either for Kathy Glass or R. Lee Wrights though.

Agreed.  As much as I'd love for Davis to win, I just don't see it happening.

I'd like to think Davis wins in a squeaker, but Abbott probably wins with a 8-14% margin.

The notion that Wendy Davis will win the 2014 Texas Gubernatorial election is something that only someone with serious psychological issues would consider.

Good Night for Davis: She loses by less than 10 points.

Bad Night for Davis: She loses by more than 10 points.

"Closest" being a 57-43 blowout for Abbott, of course Tongue.

It's all about raising the Hispanic turnout substantially. I don't think that is neither psychological, maniacal nor psychopathic.

Abbott will also benefit from having a Latina wife and he's going to get between 38-40 % of the Latino vote

Sounds like Abbot could be Jeb Bush's VP choice then, or vice versa.

If Bush is smart though, he'd rather choose Brian Sandoval as his VP choice. Wink

If Abbott wants to reach out to minority voters in order to be inclusive, he could get the same numbers from Latinos and African Americans that Perry got in 2010.

That year, Perry got 38% of Latinos and 11% of African Americans.

Abbott would need to get between 12-14% of African Americans

Yeah. Although she's almost certainly going to lose, I'm glad Democrats actually found a good candidate, rather than throwing up their hands and letting a random some guy or Republican plant be the nominee, like in SC and TN.
