I'm guessing a 66-34 win for Brown.

Or maybe abolish the LG office altogether and have the Secretary of State next in line (see AZ)

In all honesty, that would be alot better. No point in having a office that does nothing.

When is the last time a Governor died in California, anyway?

We did have a governor recalled 10 years ago, but for some bizarre reason, the Lt. Governor didn't become governor.

Tim Donnelly is an Alex Jones wannabe. I think Brown will hang 70 on him if he makes the top two. My thought was that Carly Fiorina would try to buy the Governor's office, just like she tried to buy herself Barbara Boxer's Senate seat in 2010. I'm glad to see that the grownups are still winning in California and that's why I want to bail from this soon-to-be red state more and more every day.
