FF, although wimping out on punishing the traitorous Southern aristocracy is kind of a black mark on his Presidency, as are the corrupt dicks he appointed to literally every office.

I'm not sure how to vote, I certainly don't think he was a bad person. I do think he was in completely over his head as President, and that led to trusting the wrong people and therefore making bad decisions.

A fiscal conservative that signed the Comstock Law, which among many things, banned distribution of abortion information. And he dealt severely with the KKK.

A tricky one.  He was personally an FF, but as a President... well he had his downfalls, definitely.  They weren't really for any reason besides incompetence though, which when it comes to character I'm willing to forgive, even if I vehemently oppose him in the mock elections Tongue

The next conservative after Grant is Hays, I wonder how well he will do here.

Probably negatively, since he was a corrupt, union-busting POS who abandoned blacks in the South to white terror and counterrevolution.

Good man and literal FF in regards to destroying the treasonous slaveocracy, but obviously a poor judge of character.

Lean FF, the equal rights amendments and reconstruction outweigh the negatives. I'll be voting HP for Hayes.

And here we have the last president to own slaves.

He was one of the most corrupt presidents ever, only Harding and Nixon come close. But I guess he did what was possible to fight the KKK and other racist groups, and he was much better as a General than as a president.

FF.
Banning Abortion in the 1800s made sense though didn't it? After all, they didn't really have the technology to do abortions that wouldn't seriously threaten the life of the mother, right? (I could be wrong on this).

But you voted HP anyway because he owned slaves, right?

A Republican President who faced an initially successful war against an insurgency that then went south (litterally here), and became unpopular especially once the economy tanked on his watch partially as a result of having dropped the ball on corruption on Wall Street as well as in his own administration, and also partially as a result of a gov't propped up bubble having collapsed.
