Not for the stupid comments themselves (which really aren't shocking anymore), but more the Onion doing its thing now and writing an article in kind of a format without giving details. The title would be something like "Local State Representative Says Something Stupid and Offensive" and starts out in very vague terms about how some local politician made a comment very stupid and offensive and then listing the feigned outrage and tone deaf defenses, and then a random quote about "Well he probably meant something different than what he said." Honestly I'm surprised that hasn't happened already.
Actually "Republican Candidate Makes Stupid and Insensitive Comment About Rape For No Reason" is exactly the sort of thing you'd think they'd do by now.
