No. In fact I don't think I've ever seen one because it's such a rare topping because no one seems to like it, which kind of makes you wonder how it got that reputation in the first place. Hmm. Kind of curious now though I'm worried about trying one and feeling like I want to throw up or something.

I'm curious now what places even offer anchovies. Probably would have to go to some type of specialty pizzeria.

Of course.  Quite good, but I have to be in the mood for it.

They're better in a salad than on a pizza, but yes.

Had one the night Diana was killed in a car crash.  I was in the Capitol City Motel in Augusta, Maine and the woman I was with at the time really wanted sardines on her pizza.  The closest thing they had to that was anchovies, so that's what we ordered.  Very salty.  I actually like canned fish--right now we have sardines, kippers, roasted eel, and tuna on our shelf, and they're all delicious--but it's not something I'd normally order on a pizza.  Pizza is already salty enough.

Do people actually put that on pizza or is that just in TV?

Yes and I love them.  I just learned after a bum day at home while my wife was working and I ordered a Pepperoni/Green Pepper/Onion/Anchovy pizza that I should probably not do so around her or request the pizza place no longer mark the box!

I also request anchovies on Caesar salads when possible.

^^^^ Definitely. Not every time I order a pizza do I get anchovies, but when I do, very good.

No.  But, fried anchovies are great.  There's a vendor in Brooklyn called "Bon Chovie" that makes awesome fried anchovies.

I never had one as a kid because I was scared of them due to all the jokes and stereotypes.

But I love fishy and salty things, and it turns out anchovy pizza is no exception.  It's delicious, you should try it.

I agree with those in this thread talking up anchovies in salads. There was a Greek place when I was growing up in Austin that made the best Greek salad, and they always slipped in a couple of meaty, salty anchovies.

I've tried it on pizza, and I didn't enjoy it, although I love fish (especially anchovies) and pizza, the flavors conflicted too much for me to have a positive opinion of it.

I'm curious now. Found a couple pizzerias in Minneapolis that offer it. Maybe I could get a small one.

Never on a pizza, but I've tried them individually.  It's like pure salt with a fishy after taste.  Gross.
