FF, as he's a good governor, has gotten a lot of things done, and is very progressive, but honestly he's as exciting as watching paint dry.

Well yeah, that proves Julio's point. Obama would not have been elected if he wasn't an exciting (without hindsight) candidate. His charisma played a large role in why he was nominated.

FF, but the Maryland Obamacare website debacle, even though it wasn't directly his fault, is a major black mark on his record. Obviously I'd vote for him if he were the Democratic nominee, but he would not be a good candidate, not nearly the general election shoo-in that Hillary is, so I hope he doesn't even run.

I'm not denying he's done some good things - income tax reform, gambling legalisation, renewable energy increase, DREAM act, marriage equality, marijuana decriminalisation, medical marijuana, death penalty repeal - but that is with the help of one of the most (gerrymandered) Dem legislature in the country.

Anybody who thinks he could repeat that stuff in the US Congress is a fool. He'll have to be content with himself as the inspiration of a character on The Wire.

FF regardless

Maryland's legislature is actually not all that gerrymandered, because the Democrats don't really have to.
