a lot of the state is basically nature porn. except unlike some states like vermont or new hampshire you can actually afford to live there.

It's not a poor state because it rakes big money off of oil and gas (and probably is the location of 90% of O&G corporate jobs), and yet it has the highest uninsured rate in the country.

Nationalize fossil fuels in a government corporation such that revenues made off them go back to the country they are extracted from, not to fatcat tycoons.
