It is better than the rest of the South, but it remains a calamity.

Kind of worth asking if it'd be better for a liberal to live in Austin, or somewhere like Bakersfield, Sussex County, NJ, Carroll County, MD, the Chicago exurbs, the exurban/rural areas around Buffalo and Rochester, etc. I have to admit it's a tough question.

The Catskills are actually quite nice, trust me.

Quintessential USA. Most stereotypes foreigners have about Americans, can be found to their highest degree in Texas.

This is some liberal hack site, with all the southern states being horrible (except the upper south and what hasn't been voted yet.)

[citation needed]

We've voted on all of the upper south except the Virginias and Louisiana and Georgia were voted FS.

It's not a poor state because it rakes big money off of oil and gas (and probably is the location of 90% of O&G corporate jobs), and yet it has the highest uninsured rate in the country.

Nationalize fossil fuels in a government corporation such that revenues made off them go back to the country they are extracted from, not to fatcat tycoons.

but muh private property

Exactly, you Nazi, anti=American, communist fruit baskets.

And, hero of the white trash, those pics are f#cking beautiful.

HP, in general. Politically, their standoffish attitude, their arrogance, the general conservatism of the state, just not a fan.
