Carter, the Senate Republicans are finally getting their sanity together and dumping the crazies.

It's not 100% that Nunn faces off against a bad opponent, unlike Carter who is guaranteed to face off against Deal.

Up until a couple of months ago, the correct answer was Nunn. She was (and may still be, for all we know) likely to do two to three points statewide compared to Carter. Judging the enthusiasm factor, a united base for Carter (which Nunn doesn't have, and may not be obvious to those out-of-state) and recent developments in the Republican primary, I think they're about on par. If I can't be a MH, then I'm still going to give the advantage in this scenario to Nunn, because her fundraising is better, her name is even more popular in Georgia than Carter's and it's an open seat.

It was easily Nunn before, but if info about Deal's corruption continues to make headlines, I could see Carter outperforming her.

Btw, did Nunn and Carter choose their intended offices on the basis of their respective father's/grandfather's position?
