Yeah. It has more to do with her husband's business than anything: http://www.mlive.com/business/west-michigan/index.ssf/2012/10/real_estate_speculators_sue_ke.html

I'm not convinced that this will make much of a difference.

Me neither.  Both parties are using Super PACs, so why would it matter?

I can attest to that. Rauner has been talking about his GOP opponents and Quinn about Union donations to super PAC being the ills of evil. MI is a heavily union state outside other midwestwern states. Peters is a union guy.
