Both are competitive areas in northern New England. Obama won both in 2012 but by single digits. The last time that a Republican won New Hampshire was in 2000. The last time that a Republican won ME-2 was in 1988, and this was along with the rest of Maine. There has not been much polling in ME-2 since it is a district and not a state, but the New Hampshire polls are close. Which will be more competitive in this election?

I should add that there actually was a poll in Maine that had Trump beating Clinton 37-36 in ME-2 while losing overall in Maine.

Separating out ME-2 from the entire state of ME ...
I would say/vote ME-2

Agreed.  But in general, I'm starting to wonder if ME-02, NH and IA (pending Vilsack) are the 3 most likely states to flip even before OH, just because they are so full of non-college whites.

New Hamsphire actually has above average percentages of college-educated whites.  They're in the top 10 for bachelors degrees, and top 15 for advanced degrees.  The reason the state is a tossup is because it is very white, not very uneducated.

Obviously. NH isn't happening unless Trump is winning in a landslide.

Too close to call.  They will be within a percentage point of one another.

Both are tossups as of right now, but ME-02 will be closer.
