http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/06/world/europe/strike-on-london-underground-disrupts-commute.html

A 48- hour strike has crippled London's Underground over plans to cut 950 jobs and close all ticket offices.

Transport for London which manages the Underground said it was running at 35% of normal service, with eight of eleven lines, and seventy percent of stations operating.

Nothing wins people over to a cause quite like pissing off everyone in London. Well played transportation unions.

It's worth pointing out the following:
1. The RMT is not a Labour affiliate - Labour ejected it after it gave money to the Scottish Socialist Party.
2. Boris Johnson wants the Tube to run at 24 hours at weekends, with staff on the platforms potentially exposed to drunks.
3. We almost had a DLR strike as well... but that was called off.
