With Christie being in such hot water now, some GOP insider betting chips are likely to move to Scott Walker, among other candidates.  Here's a good Buzzfeed article from November that I don't think was posted here at the time, which includes excerpts from an interview with Walker:

As the piece notes, while Walker is clearly interested in a presidential run, as evidenced by his Pawlenty-style running all around the country last year, trying to attract attention to himself, he's been very reluctant so far to show his hand on issues other than the bread and butter economic issues:

The article goes on to explain how he's evasive on SSM and immigration, and hasn't really taken sides on foreign policy debates either:

This isn't necessarily that unusual, for a governor not to weigh in on issues that are decided in Washington rather than his own state.  But this is a governor who's widely believed to be considering a run for president.  There is of course the question of whether he legitimately hasn't yet formed an opinion on many of these issues, or if he's biding his time between now and November, not wanting to box himself in on 2016 before his own reelection for governor this year.

He is extremely decisive on bread-and-butter issues, whether one likes the results or not. He has no fear of polarizing his own state. Draw your own conclusions on how he would act on issues of war and peace.

I suspect that if the Big Money wants war while he is President we will get war. If they want repression of anti-capitalist dissent they will get such repression. If they want homosexuality or contraception banned, then he will do his damnedest to get them banned. He will ask the experts -- the people that he trusts most -- and follow their lead.

The most venal and the most anti-intellectual of Americans will love him. The rest? Out of luck.

After Christie's implosion, I think Walker is the only candidate with the potential to beat Hillary. Not that he'd be favored, but I don't see Cruz/Paul/Jeb/Ryan/Romney/Rubio/Jindal beating her under ANY circumstances, barring economic collapse or scandal.

His anti-union sentiment will do him no favors in Ohio, which is a must win state for any Republican.

*bump*

Walker now won't state his position on SSM:
