With Christie being in such hot water now, some GOP insider betting chips are likely to move to Scott Walker, among other candidates. Here's a good Buzzfeed article from November that I don't think was posted here at the time, which includes excerpts from an interview with Walker:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/mckaycoppins/scott-walker-knows-how-to-beat-unions-what-else-can-he-doAs the piece notes, while Walker is clearly interested in a presidential run, as evidenced by his Pawlenty-style running all around the country last year, trying to attract attention to himself, he's been very reluctant so far to show his hand on issues other than the bread and butter economic issues:
The article goes on to explain how he's evasive on SSM and immigration, and hasn't really taken sides on foreign policy debates either:
This isn't necessarily that unusual, for a governor not to weigh in on issues that are decided in Washington rather than his own state. But this is a governor who's widely believed to be considering a run for president. There is of course the question of whether he legitimately hasn't yet formed an opinion on many of these issues, or if he's biding his time between now and November, not wanting to box himself in on 2016 before his own reelection for governor this year.
