If Portugal beats the USA today (which is obviously possible; I think the 538 numbers giving the USA such a high chance of advancing are ridiculous), then I think we all can all agree that we'll be rooting for Ghana against them next week. And I think Ghana are the slim favorites in that match.

Huge sinkhole opens near stadium where Italy-Uruguay match will be played. Might cause a delay in the match.

Belgium (...) are clearly stronger than you, however.
I take that back.

Iran and Bosnia were clearly robbed.

Odd to see Tebbit's cricket test applied here.

(I exaggerate, obviously)

Ghana, Portugal and USA would all beat Belgium.

You may want to finish 2nd in our group just to get a free pass to the quarterfinals....

And FIFA seems to think that this is not a big deal at all, as they've appointed for the South Korea-Algeria the same referee that disallowed two legitimate Mexican goals in the Mexico-Cameroon game.

Actually, they replaced the linesman that did that.

For obvious reasons, I love to see South Korea destroyed.

I'm not following football much, but aren't the goal totals a bit high and draws usually happen more often?

Yeah, the last time this many goals were so scored so early in the tournament was in the 80s.
