Yes!!!

Playing like this we'll probably lose in the QF anyway, but this would have been terribly embarrasing (more than it already was Tongue).

If the Albanian national team has a talent scout, he should be fired now.

Switzerland doesn't deserve to win.

Considering that the Swiss team contains nine players of foreign ancestry, wanting them to lose because of xenophobia is quite hilarious.

Surely some SVP politician about "too much foreigners in the team".

That's exactly why they don't deserve to win.

If you saw literally all my other posts on the USMNT you'd know I was being facetious.

Heartbreaking!
On top of that, this game also marks the end of an outstanding coaching career. Thank you, Ottmar, you have done us (and the Balkans) proud!

Have to live stream BBC for this match. I can't stand ESPN coverage of the USA games.

also this thread is severely lacking in manuel neuer appreciation:

insane german goalkeepers are the best
There are, currently, ~4 to 6 German goalkeepers that aren't on the German squad but would be on any other (not necessarily playing). ter Stegen, Fährmann, Trapp, Leno, with Baumann and Adler arguable.

I don't see why you're being so hard on Germany. They weren't at their best level, for sure, but they did what they needed to win. Besides, it's always fun when matches get to the supplemental times.

And Neuer is a real badass. Cheesy
They were atrocious during much of the first half, and if they'd continued playing like that they'd have lost 0-3. Later, it was more that Algeria were better than expected and Müller was fated not to score that day.

DeAndre Yedlin has looked good for the US since coming in. Other than that Belgium should be up 1-0.

And they're yet to score. Whoever is in defence for the States is a star.

Tim Howard is literally the only reason why the US isn't dying right now. Incredible performance so far.
