Oh my god

if it ends up being 7-1 like Lewis said I'm gonna be pissed Tongue
I shall now collect my accolades (and forget about my other special prediction re Klose).

After the Chile game at Belo Horizonte, Chile's coach coined the expression "Mineiraço" for what could have been if Pinilla had scored rather than hitting the crossbar.
This semifinal was at the same stadion... looks like everybody is calling this game "Mineiraço" already.

Highest semifinal wins ever so far were 6-1 (three of them, including both 1930 semifinals and Germany vs Austria in 1954). The last time a semifinal was decided by more than two goals was in 1958 (Brazil vs France, 5-2). In fact the last time a semifinal was decided by more than one goal after 90 minutes was in 1986.

Germany even overtook Brazil in total goals scored at World Cups with Khedira's goal. Oh, and no team had ever scored five times in the first 30 minutes at a World Cup before.

When taking margin of victory into account, yesterday's match was the least likely result in World Cup history

Silver had long been overestimating Brazil's odds. Unfortunately, he always has the excuse that it's "just probabilities".

Silver admitted his prediction was crap this time around.

Aecio Neves must be the only Brazilian happy about this.

Everything would have been so much better if Chile had defeated Brazil.

Yeah, in retrospect it might have been better if Brazil had lost with some dignity intact after a close game against chile or colombia.

You know, I don 't give a crap is we lose tomorrow against Netherlands. Today was good enough and I don't even like Germany. In fact I¡'mk afraid that even if we beat Netherlands, we will be destroyed by Germany in a bigger dissapointment than 2010.

Frankly I now wish that Germany beat us in the final. It will give us enough hope about winning the title while at the same time we can't complain that we did badly in the tournament and the government won't have that much of political propaganda to throw around.

So, tomorrow is a win - win for me Grin

You must finish the Netherlands off to get crushed by the German machine in the final. There's no great risk of an Argentinian victory because there's no big difference between your national team and the Brazilian, aside Messi is better than Neymar. It's a pity, but a defeat tomorrow or on next Sunday won't help the opposition in your country. On the other hand, Scolari is not willing to resign. What a macabre and cheeky person Tongue Grin

Good to see a minute of silence for the second greatest player never to play at a World Cup.

Wild guess... either Netherlands wins it in extra time or Argentina wins it on penalties.

A Krul fate awaits the Argentinians if it goes to penalties.

Not going to happen, because three substitutions are done.

Why do the Dutch always have to suffer heartache? I'm worried for my Dutch co-workers tomorrow.

By God, what a painfully dull game this was.

Oh well, guess it'll just make the German victory that much sweeter.

There's always one half of the knockout rounds bracket that is weaker than the other. Even yesterday's Brazil could have defeated these two pathetic excuses for football teams. Argentina will really need to step it up (or Germany will need to choke, which is more likely).

If Argentina play like that on Sunday, I'm not particularly worried. But I suppose we could still screw it up somehow ourselves.

I hope it's by Argentina stepping it up.

I'd rather watch Germany blow the doors off the place again than a repeat of this game.
