I can't believe I forgot to pull people up on Italy being the only nation with 4 stars before, but anyway...

Anyway, kickoff! It's 5am here, and I have a cup of team and a warm blanket. Hoping for a good match Smiley

LOL in just a few minutes Lavezzi dived twice and Howedes gets a yellow card when he should have gotten a straight red.

God, this is intense.

If there was a moment for the team to start playing a good game, I'm just glad it's in the final Grin

Italy and Germany are pretty good friends AFAIK. Sure there's a rivalry, but it's not a nasty one - and besides, Italy always wins, so we have no reason to hold a grudge. Tongue

Italians do not root for Germany. Like ever.

Germany is the only country with 3 cups, but that's about to change one way or the other.

Higuain diving aside... what the F was that, ref? Christ almighty that was a stinker of a decision.

Because the umpiring is incompetent. Both sides have suffered from it a bit but that was possibly the most ridiculous so far.

Neuer was clearly playing the ball. Of course, this was no free kick for Germany, as well.

That was textbook dangerous play and thus a penalty.

Meh. I only came to that conclusion on the closeup replays, not on the live image. Bit unfair to criticize the ref over that.

Considering all the predictions of destruction, I'm quite happy with how we performed tonight, regardless of who wins Smiley
