http://metro.co.uk/2014/06/21/should-iran-have-had-a-penalty-for-pablo-zabaletas-foul-on-ashkan-dejagah-in-the-box-4770930/

It looks to me on the replay as if Zabaleta kicked the ball and the non-penalty was the correct call.

Suarez banned for 9 international matches and banned from all play for four months. Oh, and fined 100k (Swiss Francs, FIFA's inhouse currency).

That's hardly toothless.

Keith Olbermann had some good tongue in cheek satirical commentary on the World Cup on ESPN2, which I found funny. I caught it last night. It went like, "Se we lost a game and tied a game and now we advance. Why? Oh, because soccer. Well how many games do we have to lose or tie before we win the World Cup?" Haha.

Those crazy Europeans! In the USA a team can't lose its last regular-season game and make the playoffs...

Anyways, Germany are favorites in this but Argentina is going to be a very tough nut to crack.

I think this is right.

Many are exaggerating the odds based on a game where Brazil didn't play defense and a game where the Netherlands didn't play offense.
