There's actually been a disappointing lack of "ENGERLAND ARE GOING TO WIN END 48 YEARS OF HURT!1!!!!!" - the press seem to have finally realised that they're not that good.

With that and Chile's I've lost two points to last minute goals. Clearly it's a conspiracy.

No matter the outcome, Germany-Portugal should be glorious.

Should be, so probably won't be.

Not sure if I should bet some money on the Chile-Spain game, but considering my mediocre prediction score so far, better not ... Tongue

And I think Spain is out for revenge today, which means Chile will likely get butchered.

Seeing as both Lief and a person have Chile winning 2-1, I think that bet would be a fairly safe use of your €100.

Was it definitely a bite? The British TV angle wasn't great.

Well, this will just make Uruguay's eventual exit all the sweeter.

In Suarez's defence, with teeth as large as his are, it would be a waste if they weren't used.

The best (worst?) part of the bite is Suarez falling to the ground afterwards as if he's been shot.

Rodriguez a dark horse for Golden Boot?

At five goals I don't think he's a dark horse anymore.

Talking of dark horses though, Colombia to win the cup- you heard it here first.

Phil's been saying that for days. Perhaps it's not so out of left field.

Yeah, he said it at least on thursday- I must have read it but I forgot about it.

Anyway, I agree with Phil.

I think this will be one of the first matches where I'm not rooting for anyone. I just hope the best team will win. Smiley

The whole point of the tipping competition is to give you someone to root for in each match Tongue

Haha

I thought Brazil was down one or two key players, not their entire team.

Turns out the two key players were their team.
