Ingerland heroically battled the mighty Ecuador to a heroic 2-2 draw the other day. Clearly nothing stands between them and great success in the World Cup.

Voting intentions of British people who claim to be 'very interested' in football as per YouGov:

Labour 45, Tory 31, UKIP 12, Nat 4, LDem 4, Green 3

LOL

Remember that this is but a survey of people who claim to be very interested in football and is probably entirely dubious in all meaningful respects Tongue

They also asked for people who claimed to be totally uninterested:

Con 33, Labour 30, UKIP 17, LDem 8, Green 7, Nat 3

Do you have the whole sample numbers?

It was their standard GE tracker: Labour 37, Con 33, UKIP 14, LDem 7, Green 5, Nat 3

It's the way that they've been successful that has got people's backs up. Not entirely unlike the Flower era England cricket team, and it's looking as though maybe The End will be quite similar.

Odd to see Tebbit's cricket test applied here.

(I exaggerate, obviously)

Only saw what the picture shown on British telly, which wasn't clear. However...

It has been clear for quite a while that Suarez is basically a comedy villain. I don't normally approve of violent tactics, but 'tis a shame that neither Ingerland nor Italy did the obvious thing and clatter his knee repeatedly.

Meanwhile the England cricket team have contrived to lose a test - and therefore the stupid mini-series - to Sri Lanka that they ought to have won comfortably. Fire everybody.

Any chance of a better picture/video than we saw here?

In fairness Suarez is not like a normal sportsman.

And he's done the biting thing before. The bite from a year ago was very well publicized. He's just a sick person and should be banned from the sport.

And that bite wasn't the first!

Someone should clatter him. Badly. Studs first. At the knee.

Anyways, considering this sort of behavior in almost any setting would likely get him in jail...

Actually it would get him in the psych ward.

The famous England Germany Football Rivalry is, of course, entirely one way... a fact that is... um... embarrassing...

Yes, a spectacular match. Wouldn't it be nice in Ingerland could show that level of commitment for a change? (lol, never happening)
