I, for one, don't mind debating things like this every once in a while. We have lots of slots; we might as well have some fun with it every once in a while. Doesn't the South have a pentagram on their front lawn or something?

Motion to table - I see absolutely no logical reason why this topic should even be discussed, especially when we have so many important items behind it in queue.

You can't object to a motion to table, but you're more than welcome to spell your case on why this Labor-backed piece of garbage deserves to remain on the floor over other bills that are much more worthy.

What's the point of Atlasia if we can't do crap like this every now and then?

Both amendments are amending different parts of the bill, so yours wouldn't go away.

Technically, X's amendment assumes the failure of mine, because an amendment, even if not notated, changes all the text in the quote. At least, that's how Yankee interprets it.

It's not just crap, it's crap with an awful bent towards one side. It would be slightly improved if it honored outstanding citizens of both sides instead of the leaders of the Atlasian left, though I would still oppose it out of principle.

On the John Engle Memorial Act:

Absurd, wanting to table this.

I would propose turning this into a resolution, removing clause 2, and instead of a museum, rename an airport after him or something grand like that. We owe our thanks to Governor John Engle.

Thanks for being reasonable!

Holy hypocrite! Unelect him immediately.

I didn't think I actually needed to clarify this, but satire, folks.

Good to know you're doing research on this important issue, though! Smiley

We should rename Ted Stevens Anchorage International after Lewis Trondheim.  Other than that, I'm not sure, though I'd lean against naming things after sitting officeholders.

That is a tourist attraction that actually generates revenue for the region.

I would love to include prominent right-wingers. Unfortunately there aren't any, other than Maxwell and dallasfan65.

I can think of about four right-wingers who merit having an airport in the IDS named after them before Adam Griffin does.

We should have an airport named after the great, and sadly missed, Wolfentoad.
