I mainly introduced this bill to have a discussion on the issue in lieu of what happened to Maxwell next month. I would be open to the language above or possibly removing deregistration all together, but I don't support the status quo and things it leaves murkey water.

I strongly oppose this bill and will vote it down. This will allow people to make pointless drama about leaving and then rescind their resignations before the time period elapses. It should also be noted that this bill was introduced in the heat of the moment because a prominent Atlasian (Maxwell) has just de-registered, and not because the process is flawed. People should understand de-registration is fixed, and they will not be able to rejoin the game for 2 months before they take the option.

Thank you for being reasonable Senator. Deregistration itself is bad enough as it is, no need to enable crybabies.

Thank you for explaining my reasonings behind this bill for me. Roll Eyes

As I stated right above, I introduced a quick bill because the Maxwell deregistration made me feel a discussion should be held on this issue, particularly on the merits of deregistration. It would be nice if other Senators would read my defense of the bill before making outlandish claims.

No, actually I must thank you too for starting this discussion! I agree the process is flawed but I don't think burdening the RG with the whims of the unnecessary dramatics of this place is appropriate. I actually question the constitutionality of re-registration until six months has passed because I believe that deregistration is "another region". And you were pretty clear about being open to changes, so I did not mean to imply that you were being unreasonable yourself (nor was i saying people like Griffin or Maxwell are crybabies), only saying that Talleyrand's position is a reasonanle one. Smiley Sorry for intruding. Tongue

I would be wiling to consider outright repeal. I have always been rather skeptical of the need to deregister when you can just decline to vote and be removed that way, but I wanted to give it a shot at the very least last year and see what happened.

Look, rage quitting is too bad, but this will make it a nightmare. We either should get rid of deregistrstion or just leave it as it is. I'd be fine with just repealing it entirely.

I support Bore's amendment, and would thus vote NAY on the vote to table.

The whole purpose of this was to open the discussion on whether a grace period should be allowed or whether it should be abolished altogether. Obviously I need to state that over and over again because some people just don't seem to get it. Amazing how a stupid bill that renames airports is considered important and shouldn't be tabled but this should.
