Well it seems like the GOP and the Atlas certainly do have something in common.

Can they stop talking about abortion and women's health issues please? Enough of that...heard to much of it particularly in the last presidential election. Just let women deal with their health issues and don't bring it up if you don't have to.

Another thing can Democrats stop bringing women's health issues into the conversation? Its not like members of both parties talk about men's health issues.

Mitch Daniels is a smart man.  Shame that the voices of Todd Akin and Tony Perkins speak louder.

Get back to me when prostate exams are considered sinful and must be banned from God's white earth.

Anyways, there is bound to be more diversity in opinion among younger samples. Between the over fifties and people in their twenties was an evangelical revival, increased skepticism in government policy effectiveness, etc. I don't imagine the crosstabs are large enough for the difference to be significant, anyway.

Well Mitch Daniels is a "rarity" but the GOP "Bible Belt" Republicans the social issues are just important to them. I respect that but stop talking about it if you don't have to.

It's not what they say, it is what they do. The GOP has introduced dozens of abortion limitations laws federally and in the states. They fight against birth control coverage in Obamacare and try to defund Planned Parenthood. They vote against pay equity, paid family leave, stopping violence against women and increasing the minimum wage (70% of those on min wage are women). And the list goes on...

The crazy talk from the Akins and Huckabees is just the icing on the misogynistic cake of policies that upset women.

Well with the religious institutions not having to pay for contraception but when the GOP wants private employers to institute the same rule that's going to far in my opinion.

Defund Planned Parenthood-I'm am against totally defunding Planned Parenthood but if they do perform abortions they should have their budget slashed because they are not supposed to perform abortions.

Violence Against Women-That's more of a state issue I have heard.

Increasing Minimum Wage-That's more of an issue that should be looked into because you don't want people losing their jobs like people lost their Insurance through ObamaCare.

Huckabee and Akin-Akin did make a dumb comment no doubt. Huckabee made a sloppy statement though mostly. I just want to know who Uncle Sugar was.

I agree the GOP has been passing too many abortion laws at the state level.

Long story short, men's health issues aren't issues for those who make laws (duh) and you know issues with being freaked out by female sexuality... Male sexuality is fine... female sexuality? What?!

But the point is at a national level, if the GOP cannot break 46-47% of the female vote nationally, they can't win.
