What are you guys doing for Saint Valentine's Day this year? The holiday actually makes me kind of wish that I was unemployed because it always seems to fall on a workday or one of my duty days and it falls on a Friday this year.

Watching a mediocre film on Netflix with the girlfriend. Our anniversary is on the 18th, so we'll skip the crowds and go out then.

Allison and I are going to an Italian restaurant for lunch Saturday, the day after Valentine's Day,  but we're going to celebrate our first Valentine's Day in August.   We don't want to wait 364 days to celebrate it again,  so we'll do it after 6 months in August.

8:25am - My alarm will go off. I do not need to be in class until 10:00am so I will hit snooze at least once, maybe twice if I need it.

8:52am - Actually get out of bed and begin my morning routine. This includes a quick shower, brushing of the teeth and getting dressed.

9:39am - Leave the apt to walk to my Ideologies and Democracy course. I expect the lecture for this day will be over conservationism and it's response to moder/welfare 'liberalism'. (Our previous lecture being over Libertarian Anarchism).

10:50am - I have an hour off between classes so I will likely go and enjoy a coffee. I normally like mine sweet, but if I am feeling extra bold, I might just go for it black.

11:00am - I will go to the AB4 building for 20th Century History which is a fantastic class. By this day I expect we will be into the Russian Civil War. From there I will go on to American Political Thought. I am not going to lie, this is a very boring class. Afterwords I will go to get lunch, typically a burrito from Tortilla Fresca. I prefer chicken with sauteed veggies, sour cream, guacamole,  and some pico de gallo.

3:00pm - My day on campus should be wrapped up by then after a nice lunch, so I begin my trek home to The Cove. The Cove being the title we chose for our part of the apartment building. Once home I will likely spend the next several hours playing around on various percussion instruments or my keyboard (this is as much to troll the girls who live above us as much as it is me wanting to play music).

5:45pm - By then I will be wondering what to cook for supper. Perhaps a stew, or bratwurst. I have become quite good at making stews recently.

11:45pm - Unless I am doing something or lost in music, this seems like a reasonable enough time to go to bed. Hopefully my roommate will be asleep by then, or else I may be up for a bit longer (he has been known to walk into the bedroom and leave the light on doing various things while I am trying to sleep from time to time.)

Thats how I expect my day will go.

Working most of the day. Never had a date or been in one of those "happy mushy couples" on Valentines Day. I guess that's what happens when you've been single for a long time.

I'm probably going to eat some chocolate and burn some Valentine's Day cards, which is the equivalent of voting for Ron Paul in the 2012 Presidential Election, which I actually did.

The holiday falls on a Friday which is a workday for me, meaning I can't stay home all day. It could be worse. The holiday could've fallen on a duty day, meaning I would've have to stay at my workplace the entire day.

My next duty day falls on a Monday, which is President's Day, meaning I have to come to work on a holiday. DAMNIT! I'm getting double screwed.

What's wrong with bashing the holiday?

I plan on gathering up all the cat hair from the house, stuffing it into a plastic bag, and humping it until the tears stop spilling from my eyes and instead come careening out of my ..garden hose.

House of Cards Season 2 binge, especially given that I'll probably be off school/have a delay Friday.
