I think it's laughable.

No, no thoughts. He had his chance in 2008 and he didn't take it then, why would he take it now? He would have been out of office for almost 10 years on election day.

Reminds me a bit of the talk about Lamar Alexander in 2012. Very doubtful, but it's possible that he could be looked at as a mainstream savior if the Tea Party starts looking too strong.

He lost serious steam in his second term as governor anyhow.  Most in CO (from what I understand) were more than ready to see him go by the time he left office.

According to Wikipedia, he tried to get a referendum passed to temporarily make it easier to raise taxes and spending. It was done to reconcile conflicting budget requirements in an education funding law and a separate spending cap, but in a Republican primary, all it means is "TAX AND SPENDING INCREASES ERMAHGERD BILL OWENS IS A SECRET COMMUNIST!!!"

As for Rounds, let's wait until after 2014. If he loses, he's done. Two years in the Senate is too short in my opinion, but he could be seen as a possible longshot. I'm guessing he'll basically end up as Generic R though.
