80's for the best music a decade has ever produced.

This. A thousand times this. At least in the 20th century.

'90s after violent crime peaked in the early years of the decade.

Both were good, but I went with the 90s because of my love for 90s video games.

Ah yes, the 1980s: the era of Reagan, crack, and AIDS.

Guys, c'mon, the 1990s was one of the best decades in history, this isn't even a question.

Both sucked.  I guess I pick 90's since I'm a 90's kid by definition.

I grew up in the 90s and I like most things about the decade (TV, music, President Clinton, etc). I like a lot about the 80s as well, especially the music, but very little of it can beat out the 90s for me.

There are people in this very thread - real human beings! - who think that the '80's had better music than the '90's.

The '80s were better, because it was the '90s when fascism was mainstreamed.
