Does anyone know how many terms did Williamson serve, considering he was in office for 12 years?

He actually had 12 terms, as according to his wikipedia page:

Apparently New Jersey had mere 1 year terms for governors at the time. Imagine how lulzy that'd be today!

To be clear, the governor of New Jersey was not popularly elected until the ratification of the 1844 constitution, which set up non-consecutive 3-year terms. In Williamson's era, the state legislature simply chose the governor.

Oh, and New Jersey used to have 1-year terms for the state legislature, which set up the possibility for year-to-year switches in governor.
