Sad news. Who will defend the good people of New Jersey from the neoliberal, union-busting, anti-education thug Booker now?

I will forever hate NJ for choosing Cory Bain over Holt.

You hate NJ for choosing a relatively mainstream Dem with a lot of name recognition in a short campaign over a solidly progressive but mostly unknown congressman, but not for electing Governor Corrupto McFatass? Come on.

Well, it didn't come out Christie was corrupt yet. Everyone knew Cory was a corporate shill. Tongue

Well this seat will stay in Dem Hands. I think Buono is actually a good fit for the district. Maybe not as liberal as Holt but close.

Holt really wasn't for the unions or anything like that. He was more into environmental issues and liked a strong safety net for the poor.

Both want the same American burgher hegemony that the corporate fat cats want. Where's the difference?

Start about 3:50 in for the song that launched Holt's career.

Greenstein is a great candidate for this seat. New Jersey needs a congresswoman.

DKE says she's pretty progressive, though she has no foreign policy chops.

Holt is a good fit to get governorship in 2017 or replace Menendez in 2018. He can do well as Secretary of Education or Energy.

Greenstein is certain to face multiple primary opponents:Assembleyman Uprenda  Chivukela, Assembleyman Reed Gusciora, and Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes (Son of former Gov. Richard Hughes) are all considering runs

Oh god. Not her again.

She looks better now than Governor Corrupto McFatass. (I'm using this from now on, thank you interstate73)

Fortunately Buono is from the wrong part of Middlesex County...

Sad to hear him go. It's too bad NJ didn't elect him to the Senate.

Holt will almost certainly have a chance to run for governor before 2017 Wink

Chris Christie looking worse doesn't actually make Buono look better.

No please I don't want Holt being Governor of NJ. Menendez isn't leaving for the US Senate that quickly.

Buono was a horrible candidate for Governor but  judging by Holt's liberal record in the US House she could get elected in CD 12.

State Sen. Shirley Turner is considering. Seeing as how she voted against marriage equality, I doubt she makes it far in the primary if she runs.
