January 5, 2012

John McCain: Let me clarify something. I am not gay, I have never been gay, I have never had a gay experience. Senator Vinick is a friend of mine, a fellow Senator. We have worked together numerous times over our careers, but we are not gay together. The article in The National Enquirer is slander and libel.

Arnold Vinick: The article, published in The National Enquirer, is blatantly false. The amount of stress the article has caused on myself, my wife, and our children is unbearable. It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the suspension of my Presidential campaign. I ask that The Enquirer give myself and Senator McCain, and our families, a formal apology and the media give us some privacy during this trying time.
....

January 8, 2012

Joe Scarborough: Ok, this is breaking news on MSNBC. Senator John Kerry, a leading Presidential candidate, has been implicated in a major prostitution ring. A statement, from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, says that Kerry’s private phone number and personal credit card information were found in the ‘office’ of the escort service. NBC has reached out to the Senator’s campaign for a comment, but they haven’t responded yet.

January 19, 2012

John Kerry: I’m here today to address the recent news out of the U.S. Attorney’s office that my phone number and credit card were found in the records of a Boston-based escort service. That is because I used the service, three times, over the last year. I am an adult and I will own up to my mistakes when I make them. That’s what this was, a mistake. I’ve asked my wife, Teresa, for forgiveness and she has given it to me. Now I ask the people of Massachusetts, and the nation, for their forgiveness. I plan to continue my campaign for President, as long as the people have faith in me.

....

January 20, 2012

Piers Morgan: Breaking news on CNN. The American Medical Association has voted to revoke Dr. Abbey Bartlet’s medical license for two years. This comes after the shocking news that New Hampshire Governor Jed Bartlet suffers from M.S. and his wife, Dr. Bartlet, supplied him with secret, under-the-counter medication. The A.M.A. has been investigating the violation of 19 ethics rules since the news broke just over a year ago. This is a major setback to the Bartlet Campaign, which is riding off a big win, in New Hampshire, into the hostile South.

Rep. King Suspends Campaign, Endorses Sen. McCain

Bret Baier: Fox breaking news, here on Special Report. Senator John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic Presidential Nominee and current Democratic candidate, has been arrested by the FBI on charges of human trafficking. The charges come in relation to the investigation of Mrs. Berry’s Escort Service, where his credit card information was found. A statement from the Attorney General’s office, to Fox News, says that Senator Kerry did more than use the service, he was a prime financier of the operation and allegedly used his connections to ease the transportation of several escorts from Latin America into the U.S.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: As Chairwoman of the DNC, I hereby declare Francis J. Underwood the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party!

....

F. Underwood: There’s no time to celebrate this minor victory. There are still three pins to fall.
