Not having George W. Bush as President clinches this one.

Not having GWB as president surely is tempting, but I'll take being 10 years younger (especially if I have the knowledge I've gained in those 10 years).

2004. Life was a heck of a lot simpler and more enjoyable then.

Eight was a rough age for me. Pretty sure they canceled Hey Arnold that year.

My last year in High school. It was probably the best year of my life so far, it will be VERY difficult for this year to surpass it.

2014 for various reasons:
-No GWB as President and Democratic control of the Senate
-The Affordable Care Act
-Better technology
-Most of the world is far better off (see Brazil for instance)
-The Overton Window has shifted to the left and Democrats are no longer worrying about not being centrist enough
-OBL is dead
-The War on Terrorism has receded
-Theologically shallow versions of American evangelicalism seem to be declining in favour of more robust Calvinistic systems
-Television has greatly improved in quality

The 00s were horrible, especially the mid-00s.

2014. 2004 was a pretty awful year for me- I was bullied a good bit and wasn't very happy (although 2005 was worse).

^^^

Also:

My last year in High school. It was probably the best year of my life so far, it will be VERY difficult for this year to surpass it.

2004 was part of my last year in high school too (with the first half of 2005) and it was great !

I miss the people in my class, most of them were later studying in Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.

2014 though isn't too bad either so far ...

2011 was at least interesting, if a tad apocalyptic at times
