Quote of the Day

"I have not been a strong supporter of Barack Obama. But this really is over the top. It does enormous long-term damage to our military... Obama would much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops."

-- Dick Cheney, quoted by Huffington Post.

Spending money on poor people = communism

Spending money on a bloated, wasteful, industrial complex = patriotism

I don't wish death on people, but I will not feel sentimental when I read this man's obituary.

Is spending money on food for poor people instead of weapons a controversial position these days? Huh

Of course it is.

Though TBF I support eliminating the food stamp program, but then replacing it with a guaranteed minimum income.

Of course, we're just spending so little on our military, we need more more more!

I would much rather spend more money on food stamps than on a weapons program.

I'd rather have everyone working and not needing food stamps.

Sure it does.

Society gets a broken bone, liberals hand them a band-aid. Republicans hand them a cast. While it may not be immediate and fast relief, the bone will heal. With the band aid, the never ending cycle of impoverishment continues.

No, Republicans don't hand out band-aids, they leave the wounds untreated. That "solves" the problem for them.

I understand your nativity considering the country of your avatar has a history of being taken over in six hours, but I must make clear that your facts are flawed.

Guess I should give you credit. Even being interested in facts (even if you have no idea what they are) makes you brighter than the majority of your party.
