If there's two things I know about Barrow, it's that he knows his district and he knows how to win. Aside from Matheson, he's the best Democrat in he House that can run in a red state.

He'll win, and maybe he'll even pull along some votes to get Nunn to 50%

His opponent, Rick Allen, is better this year than in 2012, but I say he survives. He has tons of money on hand and if he were to lose, the last of the Bluedogs would take a major blow to there dying coalition, so they'll do whatever it takes to keep Barrow. The most vulnerable Democratic Rep. running for re-election at this point is Rahall who has to get re-elected in an Obama midterm with a strong Republican challenger.

I think he will.  Then my best guess is he goes for Senate in 2016 (he probably would have run this year if Romney were president).

I never thought I'd say this, but I think Nick Rahall's in way more trouble than John Barrow.
I'm confident that Barrow will win, but I can't say that about Rahall.

Barrow is more lethal to ambitious Republican careers than Matheson ever was. I think he'll hold on.

Barrow is not complacent. He relishes serious challenges, loves campaigning, and is really good at it. He'll hold on barring something unforeseeable.

He got a better opponent in businessman Eugene Yu. I still say he hangs on, as Barrow is very good at retail politics.

Yes. He's far outraising his challengers (Though I don't know how much of a lead he has on Yu), is a perfect fit for the district, and fights a good fight.

There's several D incumbents I'd expect to see lose before Barrow does (Rahall, Barber, Kirkpatrick, Sinema, Scheider, Peters, Bishop)

Yes, although I'm pretty sure Ted Deutch, Kathy Castor, Alan Grayson, Patrick Murphy, Lois Frankel, Gene Green, Lloyd Doggett are also white members of the House from the deep South (and if Gwen Graham and Alex Sink wins, you can add them as well.  Additionally, Mary Landrieu, Bill Nelson, and (if she wins) Michelle Nunn are also from Deep South states.  Just saying Tongue

Geographically,  Florida is in the south,  but it's not in the deep south (culturally speaking).

There would have to be a major Republican tide to know Barrow off; and even then... I doubt it.

I should have defined Deep South.... SC, GA, AL, MS, LA.

With Allen, 51% Barrow. With Yu, 52-53% Barrow.

It will probably take a 2010-style wave to throw him off.

Gwen Graham is. Sink just might be, but the other FL reps certainly aren't.
