Can someone explain me the differences? When I joined Atlasia, both Talleyrand and Wolfentoad tried to recruit me. I chose the Liberal Party because the People Party was dissolving (and 2 weeks after half of the Liberal Party left because of Wolfentoad lol).
And I have never understood the differences!  Oakvale, Averroes and Duke could have been easily two members of the Liberal Party, ideologically.

Well this is simple. The People's Party was, by definition, devoted solely to the interests and welfare of The People.

We didn't let any ideologies get in our way of that ultimate goal.

TPP platform and last organizational structure and so forth are still on the Wiki. It sounds center left to me, so the differences would be the individuals in the parties and the environment they cultivate. The platform is worded to allow a lot of wiggle room.

Somebody from them might have contacted me, although I don't remember. Two or three Liberals were fairly active in recruiting me.

Everybody. Nobody.

Me and Averroes both were members of the Liberal Party. I even founded the party with Nappy and Scott.

RIP The Party. Sad

Friends, this thread has filled me with joy this morning. I will speak at length about The People this afternoon.

May The People continue to life forever and always.

RIP The Party.

The People's Party was more a movement than a party. It was the culmination of the best and brightest in Atlasia. While The Party was not invitation only, it drew in the most handsome boys in Atlasia. The Party was truly the original Radical Gay Movement; when you see a handsome boy, you just want to be in a group with them. It was a lovely example of how comradery can trump numbers, how love and support can trump over the top recruitment, and how fighting for The People can be more rewarding than personal accolades. The Party was home to former Presidents, movers and shakers, and young up and comers like our dear Simfan, who was elected to the Senate in The Party's first ever election.

It was an experiment that came off without a hitch - a party of 20 members controlling 5 senate seats and the Vice Presidency at its height. And our finest hour came in February 2013. The odds were stacked against The People. How could a party with 18 members hold 3 senate seats at once? But as I said once and I will say again: never doubt The People. We held.

The Party was never about a particular ideology; it was never about rigid structures, because at the end of the day, The People do not buy into that. They buy into results, and The Party delivered results. We never failed.

When The Party dispersed into the night on that clear April evening, it did not die. It had to change form so that Atlasia could live once again, but The Movement never died. Indeed, The People live on: 3 straight terms in the White House, a Supreme Court Justice, an SoIA, and a Senator still walk the halls of Nyman. The People have been even more successful after they dispersed to spread their love all over the faces of Atlasians.

So when people compare The People's Party to the Liberal Party, they are comparing apples to oranges. One was a conventional party; the other was a movement. One was bound by raw numbers; the other way bound by love and support, a group of people who truly wanted what was best for one another, best for The People we hold so close to our hearts, and The People we serve.

So today, while we mourn the loss of The Party (RIP Sad ) as we do every day we see that first sunlight, we must keep its memory alive for newer members like winjammer, who missed those miraculous few months when The People were publicly organized and walked amongst us. Now, we live on, and you never know where you might turn or who you may speak with that has accepted The People into their lives. We are the silent majority, the quiet whisper in the wind, and the watchful eye over Atlasia.

May The People and The Party live now and always in our memories and in our hearts. For They came before us, and They will live on long after we leave this earth.

The true best party:
Here is a taste of the developing Jesus Christ Party Platform!

Anti-Iraq War Thou shalt not kill!
Pro-gay marriage Jesus loves everyone and wants them all to be happy.
Pro-Pledge of Allegiance
Pro-Ten Commandments They are a good set of morals!
Anti-Affirmitive Action It is racist. Poor whites have an unfair disadvantage while rich minorities have a very unfair advantage. Fix up the inner city, especially the schools. Try and give everyone an equal chance from the start.
Pro-Marijauna legalization America is a free country and people should have the freedom to smoke marijuana. If alcohol is legal, marijuana should be as well. The "war" on drugs, specifically marijuana, is very expensive and waste of money.
Pro-Health Care We should help the sick and the poor.
Pro-Environment God blessed us with this land, do not destroy his hard work.
Pro-Love
Pro-Peace
Pro-Freedom This is what America stands for. People who try and rob others of their god given rights are criminals!
Pro-America

Yes.  To join the "Personality cult" and sit at the "cool kids lunch table".

Why eat lunch at a table when there are perfectly good private stalls available in the bathroom?

...and risk someone mistaking you for an empty stall and a vacant toilet bowl? Its the lesser of two evils here.

I never cared which lunch table I was at, so long as dog was not on the menu.

I believe I was the last President of the Liberal Party. I had no idea the mess I would walk into.
