With Tuesday night coming around the corner, I'm expecting to see runoffs for the following statewide offices in my beloved home state:

Lieutenant Governor: Dewhurst vs Patrick

State Attorney General: Branch vs Paxton: unless Smitherman does something drastic and pulls off a miracle to go to the runoff, he might be interested out of a job.

Comptroller of Public Accounts: Hegar vs Medina: Hegar has been running TV Ads across the state as both Medina and Hilderbran have been AWOL.

Agriculture Commissioner: Opiela vs whoever comes 2nd on Tuesday night.

Railroad Commissioner

Keep an eye on the judicial statewide offices in Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals

Who knew Dewhurst would go into a run-off. I would have thought that he would coast to victory.

Houston Chronicle has an article on Dewhurst's recent negative TV Ad on Patrick.

I expect Medina to do well on Tuesday but I honestly do not know where she stands in a one on one race. She #1 among the top 4 candidates I have been giving much support to in various races.

Interesting, earlier on Twitter, Texas journalist Erica Grieder boldly predicted she would even avoid a runoff.

The pink is ice and "wintry mix" descending on everything from Austin to Houston as I type this. The green is rain all up and down the Gulf Coast.

It looks like this is going to continue until at least mid-afternoon. And since this is Texas, where the mere presence of ice anywhere on anything in any quantity is justifiable cause to cancel school and stay home from work, people may avoid the polling places too. It's supposed to be clearer in the evening, but if it remains, after-work turnout could be depressed.

If the weather results in lower than expected turnout, it could be very good for candidates like Dan Patrick and Debra Medina.

On TX Comptroller of Public Accounts: Hegar's the ONLY person running TV Ads so far throughout the spring across the entire state during this campaign.

I have NOT seen Medina's commercials at all because she's been AWOL.

Turnout in Harris County is significantly down relative to projected figures, per the County Clerk's office.

Avoid or not make? cause it looks like she'll finish 3rd.

She meant "avoid" as in get enough votes to be the nominee without a runoff.

Staples and Patterson should have ran for reelection to their respective gigs.

It's looking like my home state's junior United States Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), likely will decide the May 27th winner in the runoff by making major endorsement because y'all know that Cruz would love nothing more but to stick it to Dewhurst by endorsing Patrick.

Perry, on the other hand, is officially persona non grata by fellow Texas Republicans.

Well then she was only 32% off.

Dewhurst said he's gonna win the runoff, but I seriously doubt it
