Minnesota will also elect a United States Senator in November. If the only two candidates for United States Senate were DFL candidate Al Franken and Republican candidate Mike McFadden, who would you vote for?

50% Franken (DFL)
40% McFadden (R)
11% Undecided

What if the only two candidates for United States Senate were DFL candidate Al Franken and Republican candidate Julianne Ortman?

49% Franken (DFL)
41% Ortman (R)
10% Undecided

What if it were Franken and Republican Chris Dahlberg?

49% Franken (DFL)
41% Dahlberg (R)
10% Undecided

What if it were Franken and Republican Jim Abeler?

49% Franken (DFL)
37% Abeler (R)
14% Undecided

What if it were Franken and Republican Harold Shudlick?

50% Franken (DFL)
36% Shudlick (R)
14% Undecided

What if it were Franken and Republican Monti Moreno?

50% Franken (DFL)
36% Moreno (R)

3 of 6 Republican opponents actually lead Franken among Indies, but not by a lot.

But because the poll is D+10, Franken leads by at least 8 points overall.

Up by 8-14, but close to/at 50% in each contest.

  • * Franken 50%, Republican Mike McFadden 40%.
  • * Franken 50%, Republican Harold Shudlick 36%.
  • * Franken 50%, Republican Monti Moreno 36%.
  • * Franken 49%, Republican Julianne Ortman 41%.
  • * Franken 49%, Republican Chris Dahlberg 41%.
  • * Franken 49%, Republican Jim Abeler 37%.

TIL 8% of Minnesotans are convicted felons.

Is there any idea who comes out on top in the primary? I wish they had polled that too.

McFadden is by far the best candidate, and has the most talented team, not to mention the money to be competitive, though I don't think Franken will be going anywhere this time around.

From what I've read, Ortmann is the better candidate. Safe D regardless, needless to say.

Abeler and Ortman were tied last time it was polled, and since then I believe Ortman has pulled ahead.
