Looking like Doug Ose will beat Birman in CA-7. Jury's still out on whether Dems advance in CA-25 and CA-31.

Preferably Gomez-Reyes beats Aguilar, but Gooch loses.

Ugh California...

Gooch is 100 votes out of second place.

"McDaniel 49.4" is a Worldwide Trend on Twitter. There must be a lot of us political junkies out there.

Does anyone have much insight into how the rest of the Rankin County vote will go? That looks like by far the biggest piece left out there.

Thats the question. On RRH, they say it will likely end up close, and it depends where the precincts left are located (near Jackson = good for Cochran).

The only way to avoid a runoff now is if Covington County nets 2500-3000 for McDaniel and McDaniel wins big in the remaining Rankin precincts. Not impossible, but not likely.

I don't think McDaniel's Senate District goes into Covington County.  McDaniel's margin of victory there might not be as high as it would be if it were.

Murphy at 37% for IA-01 (R). Looks like an outright win.

RCP has McDaniel at 49.5%, Cochran at 49%

It's Mississippi. Surprised we didn't have about three more examples of this.

Vote margin is narrowing, only 1,356 votes separating them.

Well that's not going to be enough to avoid a runoff.

Can those be transferred over to AP/Politico/RCP or do we have to wait for the election commissioner to get up and report them to those organizations themselves?

Still got Holmes and 8 precincts out in Warren, 4 in Hinds. How many votes does Covington have?

Covington County had about 2,000 votes in the 2012 Republican Presidential Primaries, if I've done the math right.

Rankin would have to do something really weird for this not to go to a runoff now. Odds of that strike me as below 5%. Cochran otherwise still has his 4 Hinds, and 8 Warren precincts and Holmes presumably friendly voters out to move the ball a few basis points his way pending Rankin's 16 precincts, presumably much more vote heavy per precinct.
