OMG Walrond won my district 17 votes to 14 votes! My vote made a difference!

What precinct is that?

The only precinct Walrond won, haha: http://project.wnyc.org/election2014-ny-primary/#section-thirteenth

I guess it's updated since I last checked. Looks like he ended up winning it 57-51. Still, it could have been 56-52 if I had voted for Rangel like I considered doing.

"This is a fight we had to have."
"I want to thank you for standing with me." - "I'm still standing."
"We were right tonight."
"Now it's our job to make sure the sanctity of the vote is upheld!"
"We want to make sure the Republican primary was won by Republican voters!"
"But we are not prone to surrendering, Mississippians."

Couldn't have said it better myself. And judging from his remarks, he will in fact challenge the vote! Cheesy  Cochran doesn't deserve this "victory" when McDaniel won the initial primary to begin with, with 49.5% of the vote, runoff or not. It's clear Mississippi conservatives, not liberal black Democrats, want McDaniel, not a long-serving, out of touch Senator.

What the hell is wrong with you?

AP hasn't called the Independence Party primary in NY-18, which featured Maloney, the incumbent Democrat versus Hayworth, the Republican who used to hold the seat before the last cycle.  With all precincts reporting, Hayworth is leading 53-47, which, if holds, would give her a third line on the ballot in November.

AP is probably cautious about making a projection in a low-turnout primary when there could be absentees.

Yeah, the church he's the reverend of is located in the district. His people have also been handing out literature here non-stop for the past month or two.

They still haven't called Doug Lamborn. Maybe he is in trouble, I've heard Irv Halter is a great recruit. Probably not though.

Nice. Leave it to a forumite to find the unique precinct in a CD for their residence.

McDaniel doesn't concede and implies that he's taking it to court.

And McDaniel's accent is obviously fake for those of you without a Southern ear.
Where can I watch this pathetic excuse for a concession speech?

That would be nice, but I'm more focused on a pickup in KY/GA since we have much better opportunities there and I highly prefer Grimes/Nunn over Childers. Like with Hall/Ratcliffe, both McDaniel and Cochran are incredibly conservative and I disagree with both of them on just about everything.

Considering a Childers win is negligible in either case though, it's a matter of choosing a younger, more representative Senator or a Phil Bryant-backed Senator who's a DC insider that won't even commit to staying a full term and refused to give Mississippians a debate between him and McDaniel. Not to mention how Cochran wanted to make this race more about alleged McDaniel scandals than the issues.

only highlight of tonight is Richard Hanna's survival. We need more pro-gay marriage and (relatively) pro-choice Republicans.

No mention of calling Cochran, no mention of not winning, none of that. McDaniel seriously wants to challenge this in court, I guess.

Almost all of the vote is in, the margin is 50.8 to 49.2. Does he seriously think he can win this in court?
