TN-04: Tracy leading DesJarlais 45.2%-44.6% at 94.6% in

A 505-vote lead with all of Bedford in and just all of Grundy County remaining.

Alexander benefits from the fact that TN doesn't have runoffs: His margin over Carr (97.8% in) has shrunk to 49.7%-40.5%.

Counting is done in TN-04, DesJarlais wins by 33 votes!

Probably goes straight to a recount.

DesJarlais won by 10 last time even as much of a drag down as he is. The district is too red.

He didn't have any money. Gordon Ball was the only Democratic candidate with any ads to speak of, if I'm not mistaken. Adams probably only came as close as he did due to his favorable ballot placement. In the gubernatorial race, where no one had any money, Brown won handily due to his ballot placement, while McKamey, the only candidate who even had a campaign website, won less than thirty percent. I voted for McKamey and Adams, just for the sake of disclosure.

Alexander holding on isn't good news?

Trust me, Ball isn't able to beat Carr OR Alexander in Tennessee. Alexander's a far better option for senator than Carr ever would be.

Alexander was never in any danger. It would have taken a dead girl/live boy for him to lose.

33 votes is such a small margin. I hope Tracy demands for a recount.

Well, the one (only) thing I like about DesJarlais' win is that he pwned the pro-life groups.

Also, anyone know when WA is planning to count the last third or so of the WA-01 votes? We're still waiting for a call on who Susan Delbene's opponent will be.

After Gingrich, Vitter, Sanford, and now DesJarlais, I never want to hear Southern Republicans talk about "Family Values (tm)" ever again.

Jessica Taylor on the recount provisions: requested by court, primary board or tribunal having jurisdiction in event of 1) tie vote 2) an indication of fraud if # of votes sufficient to change result 3) malfunction of voting machine or tabulator 4) any other instance the court or body with jurisdiction of a contested election finds the result warranted.
