One of the best posters on the forum (normal etc). Particularly given that he's opposing Zanas, Snowstalker and the rest of the "but Merkel!" Trotly Crue, even if I don't necessarily agree with 100% of what he's saying.

His posts on Venezuela in particular are probably the best commentary on the site.

He also comes across as a little...off at points in the Venezuela discussions (I'm afraid I have to part company with oakvale here)--I'm thinking of the comparison of chavismo to Italian fascism that he's doubled down on repeatedly despite to all appearances much sounder negative comparisons being readily available. The fact that he's still a fantastic poster overall is why I'm definitely not voting HP.

I like ag and voted FF, although claiming that chavismo or any type of Latin American left-wing populism and Italian fascism are the same thing can be rather annoying sometimes. As for Ukraine, WW III is not going to start tomorrow, although I understand anyone's concerns with the current situation. Should we compare the attitude of Putin's Russia towards the neighbouring nations in its 'sphere of influence' with the Monroe Doctrine and the past actions of several US governments in the 'backyard'?
