My fellow Americans: I know you are concerned about instability in Ukraine, because it keeps crowding out the celebrity gossip and weather news you'd prefer seeing on the news. Thankfully, I have a solution: Guns.

We need more guns. More guns here. More guns there. More guns everywhere.

More guns for me, more guns for you. More guns for them, but only during peacetime as part of a deal that involves outside U.S. corporate interests. No more guns for them now until they say our guns are best. And yes, our guns are the best guns. They are so shiny and cool. America.

But that is not the only approach we must take. We will also need bullets. More bullets, and then even more bullets to replace those bullets when they are used. And let me propose we shoot these bullets at them. My bullets will hit them because I am a big man. Their bullets will miss us because none of them are big men like I am. Bang, bang. U.S. flag.

And missiles, I believe the missiles are our future. Missiles are like bullets, but bigger. They make a big boom, and we love big booms because we are big men. Their heads will go flying from their bodies and it will be cool. God bless our troops.

My PR team drew up plans for an attack here. Notice the extensive use of the red crayon. Boom boom boom. Freedom.

In closing, I'd like to say: Benghazi. Thank you. No time for questions, unless they're pre-approved and from a Fox News anchor.

Benghazi has to be the most overplayed "scandal" in US history.

I wonder how many times more people have heard the Republican cry of "Benghazi!" than have heard of the August 6th 2001 memo "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US" that Bush ignored.

I used to respect him, but his election year pandering is just pitiful.

Unfortunately, it's likely to get worse from him over the next three months until the primary is over and done.  (June 10 for the primary and if he's unlucky, June 24 for the runoff.)  His primary numbers are weak enough that he could well end up tea partied and replaced with someone who makes DeMint look to be relatively saner.

I hope he loses his primary just so he knows all this shilling and pandering was all for nothing.

If Republicans were believing in global warming they'd claim that Benghazi causes it.

It shows how desperate they are that it's the best thing they have against Obama/Hillary.

And of course both Graham and McCain voted no on Gillibrand's bill.

My point was the cooperation of the resident compromisers has limits obviously. The two go together broadly in terms of them relying on excess in the foreign policy/military realm.

Though it is amusing that Obama is more concerned about the Ukrainian constitution than America's.
