X, you know that's an amendment to 58.7, right, not 31.10?

We really need to combine and simplify these bills at some point, whatever we do. It makes no sense to have a bill that's called "Comprehensive" but deals with fewer drugs than a previous bill, with some overlap, but leaves both bills in effect.

Sorry, I was pretty drunk last night Tongue

Oh, the irony!

How is that ironic?  I've never called for prohibition on alcohol, that'd make no sense.  I even support legalizing recreational marijuana use IRL Tongue

So do you still want to go forward with that amendment, or do you want to amend 31.10?

I object!

Objection withdrawn, at this point, I'm pretty sure this has no chance of becoming law even if it got through the Senate.  In the interest of efficiency, I'm reluctantly willing to table this Sad

1. There is no such thing as an objection to a tabling motion. Unless you have nine of them then you could say there is because...

2. Motions to Table need a second. Wink

Am I to interpret that post as a second, Mr X?

Well, if the sponsor is willing to table, I second the motion to table, even if X's statement might not be a second.

I have no qualms with X himself, but I encourage the Senate to table this bill. We have made great strides in terms of legalization and I don't think it's wise to move backward so significantly.

Aye since X has given us a few more opportunities to address our drug policy in any case.

Does the GM or AG have any statistics on the rate of heroin overdose deaths and opiate addiction-related crimes (burglaries, robberies, identity theft, etc) since legalization?

Or did it all just magically disappear through internet libertarian fantasies "increased treatment"? After all, there's NO physiological or medical difference between any of these drugs. Roll Eyes

Another anti-drug Ohioan...I swear you are all the same. Wink Purple heart badger

Now heroin isn't really legal, but we aren't incarcerating people for it. Theres a good chance though that you might get stuck in a rehab center for a while. I've had more than three friends die from opiate-related problems and heroin is truly the worst of the worst. I don't think you will ever find "safe and legal" and "heroin" in the same sentence but you're right about the associated crimes from heroin being pretty mucb impossible to contain. Theres an epidemic rigbt now IRL, its scary to watch.

Getoffa me you apes! Sarge at arms? I'll give YOU arms!
