Normally they would be starting now, maybe even a bit later

This year most have already finished, and started in mid-March.

Not even close.  It'll probably be another 4-6 weeks at this rate Sad

We still have piles of snow all over in the woods and this week will barely get above freezing... some 20-25F below average.

As they say... when it rains, it pours.
