Interesting politically as an area that has been solidly Republican since the Civil War.

FR overall because of the scenery.

HR. You can get the pretty stuff in WNC, and there's plenty there for all political demographics.

Eastern TN is dominated by yucky sprawl and nastiness.

Some of my ancestors lived in East Tennessee. So I'm going to say Freedom Region.

I'm probably going to say HR, because it's in the south.

My grandmother and her entire family were from Bluff City. I'm a biased source, but East Tennessee is total FR.

Knoxville and Chattanooga are OK politically, and the region has some of the best scenery in the south. Plus, my dad spent part of his childhood here. FR.

Definite Freedom Region for resisting secession and helping the Union war effort. Plus an absolutely beautiful area, like most mountainous places.

Massive Freedom Region, at least compared to much of the South.
