GLORY RESTORED!

After a raucous weekend, the election results are in and Alfred Jones will be our newest Senator!

Since the loss and de-registration of Senator X, Labor's beautiful crown has been missing one of its glorious gems. We are so happy to report that the country saw it fit to restore this fifth ruby to its rightful place after it was found - at long last - so that The People may bask in the magnificence that is our Glorious Five-Member Coalition. The nation could have chosen to elect the first conservative-majority Senate since before dissolution; they chose wisely.

Our new Senator - complete with his fabulous mandate (or man date) - will be making his remarks shortly, so in the mean time, let's celebrate!

It should be noted this is the first time that Labor has won a nationwide election since July 2013. (Admittedly, there have only been three since then, and we lost the most recent one by just a vote).
