Article.

(Trendlines from late January)

Obama Approval- 43/51

Obama rollout- 39/56 negative (32/62)

Generic ballot- 43/40 D (42/40 R)

Should the the minimum wage be $10?
Yes- 56%
No- 38%

Though Democrats are starting to go after the Kochs, 47% don't know who they are.

It's when Republicans get to know who the Koch family is that the GOP will have trouble.

Well one special election win does not tell the tale of one election cycle. The GOP won a Special US House Election in 2006 in CA. The Dems won a Special US House Election in PA in 2010. In 2006 the GOP and in 2010 the Dems got "shellacked".

So what? Soros is a rich. Koch Brothers are rich. Good for them. Why obsess on wealth? Isn't wealth the top level in the game of Capitalism?

Pirate banter. I love it. If only there were an asian candidate with the surname "Ho," then I could go "Yo Ho!"

That's racist. I'm deeply offended for those of Asian descent.

The Koch family is beginning to remind me of the Medici family in Florence -- huge patrons of the arts and sciences, but political thugs.

Let the Koch family get its way, and America becomes a Republic in Name Only.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's true that they're corrupting the democratic system beyond anything we've seen before.

Thats what AFP spends in a single state in a single year. They said they're willing to spend $30 million just in NC this this year.

I don't usually consider you a kool-aid drinker, but boy did you buy that spin hook line and sinker.  Unlike the Kochs, unions have to actually make public the money they spend on politics, so it doesn't readily show up in the campaign spending databases.

Try this link for a rebuttal to the premise that the Kochs are being horribly misrepresented by Democrats in search of a bogeyman.  http://www.thenation.com/blog/178743/koch-brothers-spent-twice-much-2012-election-top-ten-unions-combined

Yeah, I may be a Republican, but even I see a distinction between the spending buy several unions with a combined membership in the millions vs. TWO brothers who are fortunate enough to be billionaires.

Jeez, Vorlon, you really disappointed here.

Most statistics classes teach the importance of doing an apples to apples comparison, rather than drawing a connection between two incomparable data sets. I would expect an approach based on an annual, per capita basis to provide more insight than the comparison drawn here. What do others think?

the Koch brothers are two people.  those unions represent millions if not tens of millions of people.
