Brennan's resignation is the minimum of what should happen here... Congress needs to pass a bill that shuts down the CIA (and President Obama needs to sign it or face immediate impeachment). We should have a Constitutional Amendment that prohibits any intelligence agency from being established in the future (for any reason)- this is why.

I hope we get another "have you no decency, Senator McCarthy" moment. If the CIA is targeting sitting Senators, I think we will.

It's a high crime or misdemeanor to veto a bill?

This particular bill, yes.

Got to love congress, spying is now a major issue since it is happening to them.

Ummm... yeah.  Backing up (and never reading) the inane text messages of adolescents does not threaten the very basis of the Republic.

It's a little thing called a sense of discretion.  I wish more people in public office had it... I'm looking at you Rand Paul.

Fiiinally, NYE posts an article that's actually newsworthy and interesting!

But...

Congress needs to pass a bill that shuts down the CIA (and President Obama needs to sign it or face immediate impeachment).

... Better leave the commentary to the pros, son.

You know the evesdropping really overreached when they've lost moderate hero Feinstein.

So you support the CIA's actions? Or should Congress not follow the same rules because they're better than the plebeians?

But it does threaten the very basis of privacy.
