How does it have an 8.7 rating on IMDB Huh

IMDB thinks that The Dark Knight is a significantly better film than Apocalypse Now is how.

Honestly, I'd argue The Dark Knight is a far better movie than Apocalypse Now (though both are really good).

Shocked Shocked Shocked Huh Huh Huh

OMG.

X is just objectively wrong. I mean, the Dark Knight isn't even my favorite Batman.

The Dark Knight is a great movie and I love it.

But it has absolutely nothing on Apocalypse Now. Jesus.

I'm not sure what Maxwell is talking about though since the only other good Batman movie is Batman Begins (Bane was awesome in The Dark Knight Rises, Michael Caine had a really good scene early on, and I enjoyed the Scarecrow cameo, but other than that it was "meh" at best and the ending sucked).  While Batman Begins is pretty good and is easily the best superhero origin story, it is merely a good movie.  As for everyone else, I stand by my opinion, however wrong you guys think it might be.

My experience with The Big Bang Theory:

Watched one chapter once ---> Hated it

Watched one chapter about a year later with a friend ---> Didn't like it

Following that, I watched another chapter because we didn't have anything interesting to do and there wasn't anything better on V ---> Started to like it, but only a bit

After about 5 dispersed chapters ---> Started to really enjoy it

As of today, I watch TBBT if I see it on TV. It's not like Breaking Bad, a series I didn't stop watching until Walter died Tongue But I find it very funny. I love Sheldon Cooper and at least three people have told me I have Leonard's personality (but, contrary to him, I dislike comics and videogames).

X is just objectively wrong. I mean, the Dark Knight isn't even my favorite Batman.

That Batman Forever is not in X's top two really tells you everything that you need to know about his take on the franchise.

The second Burton Batman I think is the most underrated one, and probably my favorite.

To be fair, Apocolypse Now is kind of overrated. Yeah, I said it. Coppola has done a number of films that I enjoy quite a bit more. Brando does kill in it though.

I'm obviously not going to argue that it's a better movie or a more important movie but if someone gave me a choice of re-watching The Dark Knight or Apocalypse Now right now, I'd probably go with The Dark Knight.

Horrible show, cannot stand it. Mind you, with a few exceptions, I'm not really a fan of sitcoms that premiered post-1994.

Hearts of Darkness is better than either.

These movies should actually not be compared against each other. It's like comparing The Godfather to Avatar or something. I wouldn't bother with a comparison. And they probably appeal to different audiences.

i remember that winston made a brilliant parody post on this awhile back. something along the lines of leonard opening his face in the middle of the show to reveal he's one of john carpenters things with the laugh track on reloop. too bad she deleted her facebook...
