Eastern Europe didn't have as much success as Western, but I guess it was predictable. Maybe Southern will have a bit more. Granted, Slovenia and Croatia could have belonged to Eastern Europe, but I'm trying to make four comparable slates of countries so it's not to painful to fill them in.

Croatia : HL-SR (Labour)
Cyprus : AKEL
Greece : Syriza
Italy : Altra Europa con Tsipras (though I fear they go the same way as l'Arcobaleno, which would be yet another disaster inside Italy's left...)
Malta : AD (possibly Labour if they could get me bothered to)
Portugal : BE (possibly CDU actually, I would like to have a Portuguese tell me their present differences)
Slovenia : United Left
Spain : IU (since the vote is national ; could be willing to vote Bildu or ERC in their respective regions otherwise)

Last one will be Northern Europe.

Croatia : HL-SR
Cyprus : AKEL
Greece : Syriza
Italy : Altra Europa con Tsipras
Malta : Labour Party
Portugal : CDU or PS (undecided; definitely not BE)
Slovenia : United Left
Spain : PSOE. I find Elena Valenciano to be the best candidate, and with IU running Willy Mayer yet again and giving "Izquierda Abierta" just one "sure" seat... And Equo not even leading their list...! Not to say that I'd just love to see PP be the 2nd party Tongue.

What are Izquierda Abierta and Equo ? I'm not following Spanish politics as much as I'd like to lately.

Izquierda Abierta is one of the factions of IU and is leaded by Gaspar Llamazares (IU candidate in 2004 and 2008), and Equo is our Green Party, but they're so useless that they're running in the same list that left-wing valencian nationalists and may struggle to get a MEP.
